About EdgeLines
I'm Pete Legato. I've been working in technology assistance for more than 20 years. For most of that time, I worked for a large law firm and volunteered for various agencies. I work every day with Microsoft and Apple products and continue to learn more each day. I have no illusions about knowing everything, but I have a solid background, an ability to figure things out, the patience to deal with setbacks, and a sense of joy working with other people.
What's with the name? EdgeLines?
If we imagine every person's area of expertise as a circle around them, then people start to look like a Venn diagram, with some circles overlapping others, and others standing alone. I encounter a lot of interesting people who have expansive circles of expertise, but technology feels like it's just beyond the edges of their circles. They want someone to act as a line connecting the edge of their circle with the edge of the technology world.
What else?
When I'm not working, I volunteer tech services to a few non-profit groups, spend time with my wonderful wife, look after our two dogs, take care of the yard, and make music. I play several instruments, sing, and record, mostly for my own pleasure.
